FAQ's

Q: Can this cooler be used as a carry-on item on an airplane? Also, I am planning to use it to hold about 120 pre-packed syringes of Copaxone (moving out of state) - will it all fit?

A: Yes, the Vaccine (a.k.a. Large Med Cooler) is the perfect size to be carried on a plane. The icepacks we use can fly as well. For me to answer your question about if the syringes will fit I need to know the measurements of the syringe or the box they come in - if you are keeping them in the box. To describe the syringes if not in a box, please compare it to a sharpie marker or the fatter markers or even pen size. If you have a better frame of reference, I'm happy to learn. If the syringe is about the size of a sharpie, I calculated that you should be able to fit 85 pens per box (HPL-825). The Vaccine Cooler comes with 2 of the boxes so you should be able to carry more than the amount mentioned. Please let me know if I can help! Leslie 888.438.7924

Q: I'm looking for a vaccine cooler to transport vaccine to a satellite office. However, the vaccines would be both those that need to be refrigerated and those that need to be kept in the freezer. Would this cooler adaptable/suitable for this purpose? Thanks.

A: Yes, this cooler is suitable for your needs. One cooler would not be good to try and keep two temperatures, but if you put frozen icepacks in one cooler and have another cooler with refrigerated icepacks, it would work perfectly. This package comes with the 24 pack cooler - so you can get an idea of the size. It is also the same as our Large Medical Cooler. Please let me know if you have any questions. Leslie 888.438.7924

Q: i need to carry vaccines with temp of 2-8 degrees is it good ?

A: Yes. The medical cooler packages can hold that temperature range. With such a small range of temperature, it will probably not hold for 15 hours but more like 6-10 hours depending on environment. The 2 part thermometer would be a HUGE help for you to be sure you maintain temperature. It allows you to see what the temperature is without opening the cooler and that is important for extending time.

Q: Do you carry a medical cooler on rollers?

A: We don't have one in stock right now but please check back with us. We hope to have one within the next few months.

Q: does it meet CDC requirements

A: What are the CDC requirements?

Having travelled with MS meds since they came out in the early 90's, I had devised all sorts of "systems" to keep my meds Bought this for trip to Costa Rica it makes a perfect cooler too when not for meds. Coincidentally our kayak rental guy was friends with this inventor and took my picture with my polar bear!
